After a long waiting, the new Canon EOS 60D. Mid-range prosumer  SLR camera will in the end replace the highly acclaimed Canon EOS 50D positioned between the top consumer EOS 550D and the semi-professional Canon EOS 7D.

The new camera then represent another step for all those users who like to switch to a more complete, solid performance and higher but not yet felt the need for higher machine as the Canon EOS 7D.

Canon EOS 60D brings together the legacy of previous EOS 50D which stores the 9-point autofocus system (now all cross the midpoint af/2.8 sensitive) but introduces a few interesting innovations.

Initially a new camera body completely renovated to optimize the ergonomics particularly with the adoption of high definition LCD swivel (1,040,000 points), with three-layer anti-reflection and the capability to rotate 180 degrees and 270 degree in both axes, becoming an indispensable tool in shots with angles prohibitive for the optical viewfinder.

Also new is the controller for the management of the camera functions and menu navigation: This is a new command that combines the classic and comfortable rotating bezel to this multi directional joystick on the most recent Canon cameras.

The sensor is 18 megapixel CMOS that has been tested and supported the now ultra-performance Digic4 by that you can reach considerable gust speed (5.3 fps for a burst of 58 JPEG images at full resolution) and manage ISO sensitivity of 100-6400 extendable up to ISO 12,800.

The previous model Canon EOS 60D metering system earns iFCL Canon introduced with the acclaimed Canon EOS 7D, with a double layer sensor to 63 zones.

Like its older EOS 7D the new Canon EOS 60D has a Speedlite Transmitter also provides integrated control of two groups combined the EX Speedlite exterior lighting more creative.

Finally the inevitable video mode with power to record movies with full HD 1920x1080p, frame rates selectable between 30, 25 and 24 fps.
